As an expat living/working abroad with no income earned in my previous state of residence (Wisconsin in 2021), do I have to file Wisconsin state taxes? Or just Federal?
I moved from Wisconsin to South Korea in 2021 and have been paying to file both my federal and state taxes since then. It has come to my attention that I might not have to file and pay for my Wisconsin state taxes form since I'm not a resident of Wisconsin anymore, and none of my income earned was in WI or in the USA for that matter. Is this correct? Am I only obligated to fill out and pay for my federal tax form? Or do I have to continue filling out and paying for the Wisconsin state form too?
