the recommendation is to use desktop software to do all the returns. and in the long run may be cheaper.
if you really prefer to use online then the spouse would have to create a second account (using the joint a/c for the other spouse MFS return will permanently overwrite the joint return so it will not be available for 2023) . create a federal married filing separate federal return and then can prepare the state which would have to be mailed. then there would also like be a second set of fees
