My electronic filing is being rejected saying a dependent has filed their taxes as an independent. but none of my children have filed their taxes. We have also received a letter from the IRS notifying about a possible fraudulent filing for our daughter that we are trying to rectify with them and filed a claim. What are my options?? do I need to file an extension, but I owe money?
