Another Part time MD Question
I filed 505 in MD last year as I was a resident of GA. The company I work for is based in MD. My situation is the same for 2022 (less than 183 days in MD, legal resident of GA). For the sake of my question, let's say I lived in GA 55% of the year and MD 45% of the year. So now I am again looking at the question noted in TurboTax ("Enter the portion of this amount that represents wages from Maryland sources"). If one is taking that at face value, ALL of my income came from a MD source/company ("from an MD source") but I was not a MD resident nor living in MD for all of 2022. If this question stated "enter the portion of wages earned while non-resident in MD", I would get it.
The result is that I am entering 100% of my income here, getting taxed for a year of MD tax and paying 55% of income tax to GA. I should also add that my W2 had only state taxes payments made to MD.
Thoughts?
