It appears you are both new members, and I wonder if you signed up as a member before doing this?
I've been a member for years, and just did this new payment method successfully. I had to login to do it, but I didn't have any of the issues you had. Unfortunately I found out this year there is no free phone support with TT anymore. If you're lucky someone will know the symptom you had and the fix.
