Hi all, My 19-year-old son filed his taxes a few days ago. He meets all the qualifications for the State Sales Tax refund (income and residency requirements.) However, he got to the "have you been incarcerated this year" screen, answered 'no', and the next screen said he didn't qualify. He had no idea why that happened, and proceeded to submit the tax return.
This seems to be a bug in the TurboTax software. Now that he has submitted the return, do you have any advice for how to reclaim that refund? Does he need to contact the state directly, or can it be done later through TurboTax? Thank you!
