Montana's Partial Interest Exemption for taxpayers 65 and older (Montna Subtractions Schedule Line 3 Column A)

Why is Turbo Tax calculating zero dollars for this taxpayer (Column A, on status married filing separately on same form)  when there is entered taxable interest that should qualify?

What makes me question the programming on this field is that 2022 is the first year both taxpayer and spouse had interest from federal bonds (entered on Montana Subtractions Schedule Line 2, A & B).   The program calculated this exemption correctly for column B spouse -  took the total federal taxable interest, subtracted federal bond interest (already had entered on Line 2 of Subtractions Schedule)  and the remainder interest  resulted in an interest exemption of $356 for spouse.  The same exact situation applies to taxpayer on column A  - remaining interest of $464 should have resulted in an interest exemption.  Why would the program recognize the exemption for spouse and not taxpayer when entered birth dates for both are over 65?
