Yes, there is a place to enter your state tax paid, but it goes in the federal return.
Here is how to enter it:
- Select Federal, then Deductions & Credits.
- Scroll down and find Estimates and Other Taxes Paid, expand the section.
- Find Income Taxes Paid, click Start to the right.
- Scroll down and find Withholding not already entered on W-2 or 1099, click to the right.
- Answer the question Yes and Continue.
- Select your state and enter state tax withheld on the second row of boxes.
