State tax filing

The 1099-G is from MA, has an income and a withholding. There is no non-MA unemployment income. On the first screen you show unemployment of zero.

Let's go back through federal and state:

  1. Please go back to the federal income screen where you entered the 1099-G and edit.
  2. Verify that you are showing an amount in compensation received, showing MA.
  3. You clearly marked that tax was withheld since the program is upset that the tax is more than the zero compensation.
  4. Did you pay back what you received so that the total is zero?
  5. The next screens allows entry of tax withheld.

When you go into the state return:

  1. it asks if you received PFML,
  2. mark yes, have a 1099-G.
  3. Dropdown, enter the MA PFML amount.
  4. Next, the non-MA portion shows and none of it is non_MA.
  5. continue through the screens and it shows on the MA Income and Deductions Summary
