State tax filing
The 1099-G is from MA, has an income and a withholding. There is no non-MA unemployment income. On the first screen you show unemployment of zero.
Let's go back through federal and state:
- Please go back to the federal income screen where you entered the 1099-G and edit.
- Verify that you are showing an amount in compensation received, showing MA.
- You clearly marked that tax was withheld since the program is upset that the tax is more than the zero compensation.
- Did you pay back what you received so that the total is zero?
- The next screens allows entry of tax withheld.
When you go into the state return:
- it asks if you received PFML,
- mark yes, have a 1099-G.
- Dropdown, enter the MA PFML amount.
- Next, the non-MA portion shows and none of it is non_MA.
- continue through the screens and it shows on the MA Income and Deductions Summary
