I’ve sold any business in the last 5 years, Yes or No. The correct answer is no, entering this does not update the item status.
Next is a “Capital loss carryover from last year” item. I read the link that appears there. When I revisit, TTax asks that IF I have a capital loss carryover froma prior year, that I enter same on the 2 line form following, showing as positive amount. The correct answer is that I don’t, however I enter 0.00 on both lines and click ‘continue.’ But that doesn’t update the California questions item.
