Turbo Tax Two Income Married Couple Subtraction Worksheet for Maryland
Hello
I am having trouble with the Worksheet generated by Turbo Tax for State of Maryland. Specifically lines 11 and 12 of the Subtractions from Income section of the worksheet. This work sheets essentially generates on line 11 the spousal Portion numbered doubled from what it should be = this relates to the Interest and dividends from US Obligations. This doubling correspondently creates a negative TaxPayer Portion number in order for the form to sum up to the total number. The total number on the form is correct. I rechecked the entries for the Interest and Dividends from US Obligations entered in the 1099 DIV Worksheets for for the Tax Payer and for the spouse - they are both correct. TurboTax will not allow me to correct these entries on the Two Income Worksheet .
As a secondary issue, Line 12 (Other) in this same section of the worksheet (Subtraction from Income) This line appears to be a subtotal for all the entries in line 11, i.,e., on my form line 12 has the same numbers as Line 11. However, Line 13 Is a total line and instructs to add lines 7 thru 12, which would appear to double the entries in line 12. However, it does not in fact double the entires notes.
I am perplexed by this work sheet and especially don't understand the negative issue noted above. Ran both Federal and State Turbotax reviews and there reflect no errors. I am sorry for the long winded description.
Can anyone help me on this issue?
