@TomD8 @cbusa That's more specific than the other language. I'd go by that language in the form instructions.
It could be argued that the other language applies only to withholding (the more commom situation would be the taxpayer was a part year resident of IN and MI, but worked all year in IN and withholding for part of the year would be appropriate).
