Turbotax says my City of Detroit 2019 Income tax was filed when I completed and filed the 2019 State of Michigan taxes. But I received a letter from the State of Michigan Treasury saying I did not file for Detroit in 2019. Why didn't Turbotax submit a city of Detroit tax return as part of the State of Michigan return? How do I correct this in Turbotax and file taxes for the City of Detroit Income tax for 2019? Will I have to pay a penalty if I submit an amendment? Is there a line in the state tax form that would show city taxes field?
