For my state tax return I owe money. In the process of filing my state tax return I set up direct transfer from my checking account. When I got to the point of filing, I saw the $25 charge for filing. Apparently I misunderstood that the tax return for for the state was free, but electronic filing was not, so I canceled the filing process and will file by mail. My question is by canceling the filing process, was the direct transfer from my checking account also canceled?
