State tax filing
Thanks for the quick reply, George! I'm allocating wages by percentage as that is the only way I am seeing possible. Correct? I'm calculating the percentage of W2 Box1 wages to match the State Box 16 wages. It's approximately 26%. Is this considered "allocating income to NY based on volume of business"? I thought not given the "salesperson working on commission" example. If selecting "no" as you mentioned, brings me to the next question of "filling out Nonresident Business Schedule to allocate NY business income". I believe you are saying to fill out this IT-203-A form "to again make an allocation based on amount". Is this true? I'm successful in filling out the days in NY, city tax and not working in Yonkers. Appreciate the help!
