On March 23, 2022, the governor of GA passed a bill to issue refunds to residents who paid GA state tax in 2020. The FAQs on the GA dept. of revenue site indicates that if you have not filed your 2021 return yet, then a couple who is married filing jointly will receive a $500 refund or credit against 2021 taxes.
Is Turbo Tax upgrading the Ga 2021 return to account for this new refund/credit? We owe about $1900 in state taxes. Should we wait for an upgrade? Or do we file our GA return with the current software and then the GA dept. of revenue will send us back $500?
