If you didn't transfer your 2020 return over, you can manually enter the amount by doing this:
- Open (continue) your return, if you don't already have it open.
- Search for refund applied to this year and select the Jump to link in the search results.
- Scroll down to the 2020 Refund Applied to 2021 section.
- Select Start next to the appropriate category (federal, state, or local) and follow the instructions.
