Massachusetts non-resident thinks my Connecticut unemployment was earned in MA
I'm filing single taxpayer. I reside in CT. Received CT unemployment in 2021 (Jan-Feb) based on previous CT jobs. Did work in MA later in 2021, did not live there. Turbo tax MA state thinks my CT 1099-G (unemployment) is FROM MA!
Filing non-resident return for MA state in tt. The screen in question reads:
Review Non-Massachusetts Unemployment
The below entry for Non-MA Portion of Unemployment Compensation results in less Massachusetts
Unemployment than the amount withheld for Massachusetts from it. Please review.
I don't understand this. Nothing was withheld from my CT unemployment for MA. Fed and CT taxes were withheld from my CT unemployment.
What am I missing here, please? Or is this a bug? If it's a bug, how to work around it?
