State tax filing
Take a look at the following link to see the filing threshold:
- https://www.ftb.ca.gov/file/personal/residency-status/part-year-and-nonresident.html
- You have California sourced income, so most likely you will need to file.
- Did you have California withholding on your W-2?
- If you did, you would want to file to see if you get any refund
- You would file a Calif 540NR if required based on the above
- You will also report your income in CO. To avoid potential double tax, CO provides a credit for taxes paid to other states.
- Did you move during 2021?
