New York Allocation section help
Hello, I'm an actress and I live in Atlanta, Georgia full time. I worked filming project in New York for a few weeks where I received a W-2. My total wages from this job were $17035. In filing my state taxes I'm filling out in the different cities that i've worked in and I'm not sure about the New York Income Allocation part. In the section "enter the amount of federal income that was derived from New York sources. If none enter zero", It shows my unemployment compensation that I received last year in Georgia under 'Federal income" of $15,408. I don't understand why that would show up in the NY section when I am a full time resident of Georgia. Then it has a box for the New York portion. This is where I'm confused; would I enter the total wages earned in NY ($17035) or would I enter another amount or would I enter zero? Thank you!!!!
