How to prove my tax is correct- audit
My wife works remote and most clients are out of state. It seems this triggers New Mexico
to send us notice of managed audit for gross receipts tax not paid.. Our contact will not tell us what papers to submit. He says we need to make our case.
My question is; how do we make this case? More specifically,
should we write a description of the client business
and another description of her job title duties for each client?
Anything else besides send in the 1099's and state returns again?
