There are many posts on this error. Possibly related problem is that the printed final review copy lists attachments that are not attached. Maybe interferes with e-file (if you go ahead) or triggers a later problem when NJ finds indicated attachments are not attached. These are erroneously listed as attached on my copy:
Federal extension filed.
The address above is a foreign address.
Your address has changed.
Death certificate is enclosed.
I authorize the Division of Taxation to discuss my return and enclosures with my preparer
NJ-1040-O is enclosed.
TO BE CLEAR, these are erroneous. Among other things, I am not dead.
