State tax filing

You can see Minnesota’s Form M1PR Instructions in the On Paper dropdown at Filing for a Property Tax Refund for specific form guidance.

Line 1 of Form M1PR refers to your Form M1, Individual Income Tax, your Minnesota tax return, and takes your federal adjusted gross income from line 11 of your federal Form 1040.

Lines 3 and 10 refer amount from your federal Schedule 1, Additional Income and Adjustments to Income, which you may or may not have used on your federal tax return.

Line 5 refers to Schedule M1PR-AI, Additions to Income which, likewise, you may or may not have filed with your Minnesota tax return. 

Line 11 refers to Schedule M1NC, Federal Adjustments, which you might or might not have used.
