State tax filing
The Form 528-S calculates the credit or refund of sales tax. To be eligible to file, all of the following requirements must be met:
*The taxpayer is an Oklahoma resident.
*The taxpayer lived in Oklahoma for the entire year.
*The taxpayer did NOT receive Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (T.A.N.F.) for any month in the tax year.
*The taxpayer's gross household income for the year does not exceed 20,000.
*Or the taxpayer's gross household income for the year does not exceed 50,000 and one of the following 3 items applies:
1. The taxpayer can claim an exemption for a dependant.
2. The taxpayer or spouse is 65 years of age or older by 12/31/2018.
3. The taxpayer has a physical disability constituting a handicap to employment (proof must be provided.)
***if you pass the above requirements and you are sure that the 538-S was not part of your filed return, then you can go to this link (https://www.ok.gov/tax/documents/538-S-18.pdf), downloaded the form and the instructions, complete the form using data from your federal and Oklahoma returns, and mail it. NOTE, if you have to file an Oklahoma return (and I guess you do since you are using TurboTax), you must mail this form before April 15th (unless you were granted an extension of time to file). Add a note that this form was accidentally not included with your return.
