Tax Reimbursement- Delayed Change of Address
Hi,
Me and my husband are planning to file jointly for the year 2021.
We were working and living in Philadelphia for the year 2020. Then we move to Florida starting 01/01/2021. And we made official address change in the company portal. But somehow my husband’s work location wasn’t change to Florida and PA state and Philadelphia city tax was being deducted from his paycheck until May 2021. That’s when we realized and reach out to HR and they made official change for work location to Florida.
Q1: How can we get reimbursement from the state of PA since we where not living there and it was a mistake from the company by not changing it on time?
Q2: Do we have to file taxes for Philadelphia? (Even tho we where not living there, but the Company didn’t change the address until May 21)
Any help will be appreciated
