I am a green card holder since 2008. I used to study in California from 2005 - 2011, and worked from 2011.
Then I moved to my country of citizenship in Feb 2016 and worked from May 2016 - Sep 2016 (unemployed between March - April 2016).
Afterwards, I moved to the UK to study for one year from Sep 2016 - Sep 2017, moved back to my country of citizenship and started working there from Jan 2018 until today (unemployed from Oct 2017 - Dec 2017).
In 2018, my source of income is only from my job in this foreign country.
I still maintain my bank accounts, driver's license and a vehicle in California up until today. I went back to California 2 times in 2018: February (9 days), August (11 days) to visit my family.
How should I determine my California residency status in this case for 2018?
