State tax filing
Indiana property taxes are billed in arrears. That means you won't be billed for your 2021 property taxes until 2022. You can only take a credit for property taxes actually paid. Since you bought the house in 2021, you won't actually pay any property tax on it until 2022. And you'll be entitled to take a property tax deduction on next year's (2022) return.
