You have to tell TurboTax which state the money was earned in and then TurboTax will determine what the tax is accessed for that state. The money is only taxed in the state where you tell the program that it was earned. It is up to you to be sure that all of the money is accounted for and attributed to the correct state.
TurboTax does the math for you and prepares the returns, but you have to be able to tell the program what figures to use.
