New job in CA working remotely, live in IL
Hello,
I have lived in IL for all of 2020. I started a new job in a CA-based company in the latter part of the year. However, I work remotely from IL and have not been to California at all for work.
My W-2 from the company has both CA and IL listed and I have CA tax withheld.
I know I have to file a non-resident return for CA and a resident return for IL. My question:
Is any of my income last year attributed to California or is it all attributed to IL or part?
Would I have to pay any CA state taxes in addition to IL?
For reference: I haven't worked at all in CA in 2020.
