State tax filing
It's unlikely. What could have happened is that the unemployment was "double-subtracted" from your New Jersey return. Since New Jersey does not tax unemployment anyways, your unemployment was not included in New Jersey income on the original return. However, when the Federal return got updated, and the income subtracted out of your gross income, the same may have happened a second time on your New Jersey "updated" return. Don't send it without reviewing the return to make sure that this isn't the case.
