I shut down my sole proprietorship at the end of 2015. I am now in process of buying a home. My mortgage underwriting is asking for proof of my dissolution for the business since it shows I claimed my losses on my 2015 tax return. Besides waiting to file my 2016 tax return to show I am no longer claiming the business losses, how can I prove I no longer have this business?
