After you file

Tracking status: 

• Go to our e-file status lookup tool to get your current status on TurboTax website. 

• Wait 24 hours after your federal return has been accepted before looking it up at  the IRS Where's My Refund? 

• For states, use your state's refund lookup.

Note: An IRS representatives will be able to research the status of your refund. Call them at 1-800-829-1040, but prepare for potentially long wait times. See also Where's My Refund FAQs.
