I see from
@SweetieJean 's answer that NC is one of the states that does not accept Turbotax payments. "For some states, Turbotax is not allowed to process electronic payments, and the instructions will tell you to mail a check or make a direct payment on the state's tax web site."
You will probably see this reflected in your instructions page if you download it.
