I filed my 2015 tax return on June 28th (3 weeks ago). Long story short, I completed everything on turbotax last year but I guess I forgot to submit it. I am currently in the process of trying to get a home loan. I took my tax return to the IRS to get it stamped and sent off. Last Wednesday, WMR showed that it was received and I had one bar. The next day the bars disappeared and now it says it is processing. It's been in this status ever since. We had our closing date pushed back to August 4th but that is the furthest the seller is willing to go. I know the IRS says it takes 6 weeks for paper returns to be processed, but what are your opinions? I didn't expect WMR to show up so soon. What does it mean when it says it's still processing and my bars disappeared? Will my tax return show on my transcript when it is approved?
