After you file
In order for the federal changes to update on the state properly, you would have needed to delete the california return and then add it back; so that the updated information transfers. However, since you didn't do this and filed the incorrect version - you do not need to delete and redo your California return. Instead, you need to amend your return, which will be a different process.
To amend your return, select the appropriate year and then software you're using. Then the instructions will walk you through amending. As you start to amend, the tax estimator will go to $0 and will only reflect the corrections you make. Also, be sure to wait to amend, until your refund/payment has cleared your bank account, in case the state automatically makes corrections to it. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3288565
