Does turbo tax calculate penalties for taxes due on an amended return?
I am re-filing my 2015 return. I now have taxes due with the amended return. Does Turbo Tax calculate penalties for the taxes due? I don't see any on the return.
No, the program does not calculate late payment or late filing penalties. When the tax return is received by the IRS and processed, they will send you a bill in the mail for any penalties and interest owed.
