If I have already filed and paid my taxes due but I now need to amend the return which will result in a small difference. How will this work? for the overpayment?
I paid the amount due and the check is cashed, after amending I will owe "less" but that has already been paid, which will result in a small refund. Does the IRS send payments like that even after tax is paid?
