After you file

You don't need it to file your Federal return, it is for your information to keep for your records.

Taxpayers who have non-Marketplace health insurance (their plan wasn’t purchased on healthcare.gov or a state Marketplace) may receive the new Forms 1095-B or 1095-C — these are receipts from private insurers or employers, confirming you had or were offered coverage. Check them for accuracy if you receive them and keep them for your records. You will not need them to file your 2015 tax return.

You don't need the 1095-B or 1095-C form to enter your information. The program will ask you about your insurance coverage, Form 8965 will be included with your return with your information.

Do I need to enter a 1095-B in TurboTax?

If you receive a 1095-A form you need the form to enter your information, the program will ask you about your Marketplace coverage from your 1095-A form. Then that information will be sent with your return.
