If you received an email saying updates may affect your taxes, it is usually for an issue that affects a certain number of taxpayers, which may include you. If you have filed and saved a copy of your filed return, open TurboTax, let the program update, and see if your bottom line changed since your filing.
If so, you may need to Amend your return, once you compare to your filed return. For a small error, where legislation is a factor, the IRS will automatically make the change for you and notify you.
