Actually, the answer to the problem turned out to be quite simple -- once I managed to contact a live person through Turbo-tax support. She said that returns are printed using Adobe and that if one has Windows 11 Adobe isn't automatically provided! News to me! She said NOT having Adobe usually causes the snarl-up in printed tax forms.

 

I downloaded Adobe and printed my tax return with no further problem.  I think TT should make a notice on their program that Adobe needs to be downloaded.
