Here's how to download the *.tax2015 data file from Online TurboTax. If it was prepared in a paid edition in 2015, then you should have access to it. If it was prepared in Free Edition, access will be locked until you pay for a 2016 product (we can tell you how.)
- Log in using the same User ID that was used for the 2015 return.
- Go to the 2015 Tax Timeline.
- Scroll down to "Some things you can do."
- Choose "download *.tax file".
