After you file

I assume you're using the Windows version.  Are you up to date with the Windows updates?    You also mentioned "previous years."  Is the same thing happening when you try to launch other years like 2023 from a desktop TurboTax icon?

 

I don't know what's causing it, but here's how I would initially attack the problem if it were me.

 

I'd restart the computer and launch TurboTax again.   Is there still a problem?

If so,  I'd right click on the TurboTax shortcut icon, and then select Properties, then Compatibility tab, and choose "Run as Administrator."

If it continues to happen, you can wait to see if anyone else has a suggestion in this forum, or we can tell you how to phone TurboTax Support.

 

"I need to verify some entries from my 2024 return."

Since you are trying to open the software, does that mean you don't have a 2024 PDF?   If you have saved a PDF, then the software is not necessary to view the return.
