My situation is i left the USA back in 2008 , I have worked in the USA for well over 15 years around ). My green card expired 2017 and I am residing in Australia . I need to access my social security and IRS and in order to do that my only option is through ID.ME and to be able to sign in from ID.ME to SOCIAL SECURITY website I need to add my social security number which I know but the actual card is lost and in order for me to add to my file with ID.ME I must have the physical card handy so a live ID ME staff can see it at the time of identity verification . Since I don’t have the card my other way is to have A W2 from previous year which shows my name and social security number , I tried to request a replacement social security card through social security administration but with no success because my green card expired even though I have foreign passport driver lic …..so I contacted my previous employers but with no success since they don’t keep very old W2 prior years . The main reason I need to access my social security because I was it know that since I worked in the USA for more than 10 years I am entitle to apply for social security retirement regardless what my status in the USA now ( even if you don’t live in the USA and not holding a valid green card ……) so I want to access my account with social security administration and check it out
