Just recived a CP59 Notice - "You need to file and pay your 2024 Tax return". Looks like the IRS is blaming the "Government Shutdown" for return processing delays, at least at the Kansas City Serice Center. USPS indicates that timely filed 2024 return was delivered to KC PO Box, 7 days after certifieded mail send date of Oct 15, 2025. Interestingly, only my wife received the CP59 Notice even though we have filed a joint return for 34 years!
This happenened once before during COVID.
Any other TT users with this same experience?
