The reason for the return is (there is a really long story but...) The IRS requested a copy to correct an error on the return. They could not find the original return (after several months and attempts to search for it). I had upgrade my computer since filing and found the .tax file. I have the 2017 CD but no CD drive on the new computer. The solution was that I found a service online that could convert the .tax file into a PDF.
