Your "refund" is never ready to mail. (Turbotax doesn't know that.)
Does it say "Your return is ready to mail?" That would mean that you did not e-file, and you selected that you would print your return and mail it to the IRS. If you did not do that, then nothing has been filed. You either need to go back into the program and change your choice to e-file, and complete the process (there are several steps, ends with a "transmit" or "send now" button I think). Or, print your return, sign it, and put it in the mail.
