I'm trying to let you know how to populate form 1040-X when you do it yourself, as you said you might, based on your revised/correct tax return.
If TurboTax has bugs that's a separate issue.
I'll repeat, your tax Line 6 comes from 1040 Line 18 which is the sum of Line 16 and 17.
In that way you "include the amount from Schedule 2 Line 3" as per the Instructions.
