I checked my transcript today on the IRS site (helping my daughter with her return) and noticed the letter posted by the IRS today, April 15th.
My own return was filed early this morning (April 15th) and it's already been accepted by the IRS (also on April 15th).
Is this normal for the IRS to post this as if I haven't filed yet?
The text of the letter reads:
"On April 15, 2025, we received a request for verification of non-filing of a tax return. As of the date of this letter, we have no record of a processed tax return for the tax period listed above. If you have any questions, you can call 800-829-1040."
