The initial amended return will reset to zero. If there is additional tax owed it will show.
- If you've completely corrected the return, even though there is zero tax due it would be prudent to mail it in.
- Directions for mailing are included on the printed copy.
- Be sure to sign the amended return, this is often forgotten.
- Also, print a copy for your records.
