I would not recommend a wire transfer until you have all of the facts.
- The transfer could cause a double payment.
- Allow the IRS to completely process the return.
- If they are unable to get it from an account you specified, they will notify you.
- If necessary, make the payment then.
- If you check the second page of your 1040 tax return it may give you an indication of the bank account that you used.
